UI Developer

Summary

Join Ulula, a social enterprise improving working conditions globally, as a UI Developer. You will translate UI/UX designs into high-quality web interfaces using HTML, SCSS/CSS, and JavaScript. Experience with Vue.js, Angular, or Laravel Blade is a plus but not required. You'll collaborate with designers and developers to create intuitive user experiences. Requirements

• Experience as a UI Developer, with a strong focus on HTML/CSS
• Expertise in SCSS/SASS, Flexbox, CSS Grid, Bootstrap, or TailwindCSS
• Basic to intermediate JavaScript skills (for UI interactions, animations, and minor logic)
• Familiarity with Figma, and Adobe XD for design-to-code conversion
• Understanding of cross-browser compatibility and accessibility standards
• Experience with Git/version control

Responsibilities

• Convert UI/UX designs (Figma, Adobe XD) into clean, semantic, and maintainable HTML, SCSS/CSS, and JavaScript
• Ensure mobile-first, responsive, and cross-browser compatible implementations
• Implement UI interactions, animations, and effects using CSS and JavaScript (basic/intermediate)
• Work closely with designers and developers to bridge the gap between design and development
• Optimize UI code for performance, speed
• (Optional) Collaborate on front-end development using Vue.js, Angular, or Laravel Blade if needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Vue.js, Angular, or Laravel Blade
• Familiarity with front-end build tools like Webpack, Vite, or Gulp
• Understanding of UX principles to enhance usability
• Familiarity with WCAG standards and accessibility testing tools (e.g., Axe, Lighthouse, WAVE) and techniques
