Summary

Join CALSTART as our UI/UX Web Designer and be responsible for designing intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces for our web applications. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in design, human-computer Interaction, or a related field (or equivalent experience) and 2-3 years' experience as a UI/UX Designer, preferably in web design
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or similar
  • Experience with web development utilizing HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies, accessibility standards/best practices and familiarity with responsive design with a mobile-first approach

Responsibilities

  • Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and feedback
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for websites
  • Develop and maintain design specifications and style guides
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in UI/UX design
  • Work with product managers and stakeholders to define user requirements and project goals
  • Audit existing web properties for quality assurance and compliance with best practices
