Summary

The job is for an underwriter at Thimble, a leading insurtech platform for small businesses. The role involves developing risk selection and implementing new products. The ideal candidate should have 7+ years of commercial insurance experience, be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, and have exceptional communication skills.

Requirements

• 7+ years of commercial insurance experience in P&C underwriting, including small commercial experience
• Ability to analyze and make decisions on policies in a timely manner
• Ability to work well and respectfully with others, with minimal supervisions, and in a very fast-paced environment
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, prioritizing high impact ones
• Ability to make decisions quickly and decisively
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency

Responsibilities

Lead the underwriting operations of Thimble in the development of risk selection and implementation of new products

Preferred Qualifications

Insurtech and/or startup experience highly preferred
