Valuation Specialist/Appraiser

Summary

Join World Business Lenders (WBL), a 100% remote company, as a Valuation Specialist/Appraiser! This contract/consultancy position involves managing commercial and residential appraisals, BPOs, AVMs, and internal QC reviews. You will research real estate markets, analyze data, and assist appraisers. The role requires excellent English communication skills, significant research experience, and a minimum of 10 years in a risk management or valuation environment. Working hours are 9:00 am-6:00 pm ET, Monday-Friday, with potential for overtime. The position offers a remote work environment and compensation based on experience.

Requirements

• 100% Excellent English, with exceptional English verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in real estate appraisals/real estate or banking
• Minimum 10 years experience in an applicable risk management or valuation environment
• Registered and Sworn Valuer for at least 10 years
• Experience with Microsoft: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint required

Responsibilities

• Research local real estate markets and identify and confirm sales and rental data
• Assist appraisers with aspects of completing valuation assignments
• Reviewing inspection reports to ensure the quality of report and photos
• Point of contact for the Valuation department regarding report issues and/or missing documentation
• Manage assistant(s) to insure proper workflow
• The ability to self-identity, report, manage and resolve critical issues
• Meeting critical deadlines and ensuring adherence with established production and quality standards and goals
• Review internal and external valuations of small to medium-sized businesses throughout the US
• Research real estate markets and identify and confirm sales and rental data
• Develop internal valuations on small to medium-sized businesses throughout the US
• Assist analysts with aspects of completing valuation assignments
• Other projects and duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree (four-year college or technical school), or equivalent work experience
• Experience in Costar
