Summary
Join Ethos Science, the research arm of Ethos Veterinary Health, as a Clinical Research Associate to lead and support cutting-edge clinical studies across a nationwide network of veterinary hospitals. You will manage the day-to-day activities of sponsored veterinary clinical studies, from initiation to close-out, including oversight of participating hospitals and client relationship management. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and project management skills, along with experience in veterinary clinical research or as a small animal veterinary technician. The position offers a competitive salary ($70,000 - $85,000/yr) and a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, holidays, and a 401k match. Occasional travel (5-8%) may be required. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a veterinary, scientific, or healthcare-related field
- Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and maintaining proactive communication with diverse stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Manage the launch, conduct, and close-out of sponsored clinical studies at participating Ethos and NVA hospitals
- Generate, review, and maintain essential study documents including data capture forms and hospital training materials
- Serve as a key contact for hospital teams, offering virtual study monitoring and ongoing support
- Provide study-specific training and assistance to hospital staff as needed
- Monitor data entry into the electronic data capture (EDC) system to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Assist the marketing team with clinical study marketing and sponsor communication to support patient enrollment
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records of clinical study documentation, including contracts, protocols, and data reports
- Support the preparation of invoices related to studies under your coordination
- Participate in and help lead sponsor meetings and client check-ins
- Draft study budgets and contracts in collaboration with the Senior Director of Science and legal/finance teams
- Serve as the primary liaison between Ethos Science and study sponsors for assigned studies
- Provide progress updates and ensure deliverables and milestones are met on time
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in veterinary clinical research and/or as a small animal veterinary technician preferred
- Experience with electronic medical record systems and electronic data capture tools (preferred)
- Familiarity with contract and budget development is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Smartsheets and PowerBI preferred
