Vice President Utility Scale Mining Planning & Analysis, Remote - Worldwide

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Vice President to drive financial planning, analysis, and business strategy for our Utility Scale Mining Business Unit. The role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional analytical skills, 10+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, and proficiency in financial software.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or CPA is preferred
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and strategic planning
• Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Advanced proficiency in financial software and tools, such as Excel, financial ERP systems, and data analytics platforms

Responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process
• Develop cash flow models to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Develop and maintain long-term financial models to support strategic decision-making for Utility Scale Mining
• Provide insights and recommendations for business performance improvement based on financial analysis
• Optimize cash flow management and working capital
• Oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Analyze financial results and key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide actionable insights to Utility Scale Mining leadership
• Conduct variance analysis to understand deviations from budget and forecast and recommend corrective actions
• Create and maintain financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and profitability of mining operations
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial planning and analysis
• Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making on capital investments and other strategic projects
• Leverage technology and data analytics to streamline financial processes and reporting
• Act as a key liaison with corporate finance and other external stakeholders
