Summary

Join Levitate Media as a full-time, contract Video Editor/Motion Designer based in Bogotá, Colombia! Working remotely on a Monday-Friday, 8-5 CT schedule, you will be responsible for both video editing and motion graphics for client projects. You'll transform raw footage into engaging final products, collaborating with a dedicated Production Manager. This role requires advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, a strong portfolio, and 5+ years of experience. Requirements

  • Fluent in written and spoken English with professional written, verbal, and communication skills to collaborate effectively with a creative team
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects
  • A strong portfolio or demo reel showcasing video editing and motion graphics skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and on multiple projects simultaneously
  • High-speed/fiber internet access
  • Reliable high-speed/fiber internet access
  • 5+ years of experience as a Video Editor/Motion Designer
  • Strong color correction skills
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
  • Ability to accept and implement feedback from clients and producers
  • Must be a self-motivated team player, professional, detail-oriented, and possess excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong understanding of post-production process, including color grading and sound design

Responsibilities

  • Brainstorm and propose narrative edits aligned with client goals and vision
  • Create paper edits from transcriptions
  • Edit video footage to create compelling, cohesive content across various formats
  • Ensure consistency and relevance to the production's original vision
  • Gather and transfer media into editing software, reviewing raw material for optimal narrative
  • Provide technical oversight, including color correction, versioning, encoding, and delivery
  • Pick up existing projects and make edits as needed
  • Develop storyboards and style frames for motion graphic elements
  • Create and integrate engaging motion graphics, animations, and visual effects to enhance storytelling
  • Design and implement animated titles, lower thirds, on-screen text, transitions, and other kinetic graphic elements
  • Utilize motion graphics to amplify the video content and engage target audiences
  • Contribute to the evolution of our editing and motion design standards and practices
  • Collaborate with the creative team to ensure a cohesive final product
