Summary
Join Modern Animal's Virtual Care Team as a Virtual Care Veterinarian and deliver high-quality virtual care to pets and their owners across multiple states. This fully remote position offers a flexible 3-4 day work week with a weekend shift. You will provide client education, formulate treatment plans, collaborate with in-clinic veterinarians, and navigate client escalations. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional communication skills, thrives in a digital environment, and embraces change. Requirements

- Graduate of an AVMA-accredited veterinary school or completed requirements to practice in the United States
- Active license to practice veterinary medicine in California required at the start of employment
- License must be in good standing with no malpractice or disciplinary actions
Responsibilities
- Deliver empathetic, high-quality virtual care to pets and pet parents across Arizona, California, Colorado, and Texas in partnership with in-clinic veterinarians
- Provide client education and counseling for existing medical issues, leveraging strong communication skills to build trust and clarity
- Formulate and execute diagnostic and treatment plans and adjust them as new information becomes available
- Ensure medical continuity and quality by collaborating closely with other veterinarians and support staff as you report lab work, answer medical questions, and review medication requests
- Navigate client escalations with professionalism and a sense of ownership
- When needed, consult with specialists and refer or transfer care appropriately
- Actively contribute to process improvements and provide feedback on product and software updates
Preferred Qualifications
Texas, Colorado and/or Arizona licensing a plus
