The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of family law paralegal experience, proficiency in cloud-based legal software, and strong communication skills. Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of recent experience as a family law paralegal, with a solid understanding of procedures related to divorce, custody, support, and post-judgment matters
- Highly proficient in cloud-based legal case management software such as Clio and MyCase
- Skilled in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, PDF editing with Adobe, and video conferencing tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage sensitive client matters with discretion
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to manage competing deadlines independently in a remote environment
- Equipped with a Windows-based laptop, smartphone, and reliable broadband internet
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 3 years of recent family law experience
- Availability to respond to client requests within one hour, Monday through Friday, 9 AM – 6 PM
- Ability to work 20–40 hours per week on an ongoing basis
Responsibilities
- Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, declarations, and discovery responses
- Manage and maintain detailed case files throughout all stages of the matter
- Maintain proactive and professional communication with clients during standard business hours (9 AM – 6 PM)
- Communicate effectively with opposing counsel, court personnel, and third parties
- Support attorneys with hearing, mediation and trial preparation, including exhibit organization and witness coordination
- Handle calendaring, track deadlines, and assist with case workflow using cloud-based legal platforms
- Collaborate with attorneys and internal team members to ensure cases move forward efficiently and effectively
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with family law–specific CRMs or tools (e.g., Lawmatics, Family Law Software) is a plus
