Summary

Join Equivity as an experienced paralegal supporting attorneys in personal injury cases, including auto accidents, premises liability, and more. You will draft legal documents, manage case files, communicate with clients and other parties, and assist with trial preparation. The position requires at least 3 years of personal injury paralegal experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research tools. Requirements

  • At least 3 years of recent experience as a personal injury paralegal
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, legal research tools, and cloud-based platforms
  • Comfortable using video conferencing and managing tasks remotely
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple deadlines independently
  • Equipped with a reliable Windows-based laptop, smartphone, and broadband internet
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 3 years of recent litigation paralegal experience
  • Availability to respond to client requests within one hour, Monday through Friday, 9 AM – 6 PM
  • Ability to work 20–40 hours per week on an ongoing basis

Responsibilities

  • Draft demand letters, pleadings, motions, and affidavits
  • Manage and organize personal injury case files from intake through resolution
  • Communicate professionally with clients, insurance adjusters, opposing counsel, and court staff
  • Assist attorneys with mediation, settlement, and trial preparation, including exhibits and witness coordination
  • Schedule appointments, manage calendars, and provide general case support
  • Collaborate effectively with attorneys and fellow team members
  • Maintain proactive and professional communication with clients during standard business hours (9 AM – 6 PM)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with workers’ compensation matters is a preferred plus
  • Experience with personal injury specific software like FileVine and SmartAdvocate strongly preferred
