Join Williamsburg Academy of Colorado (WAC), a remote educational service provider, as a Virtual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited institution
- Valid Colorado Speech-Language Pathologist license issued by the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) or eligibility to obtain one
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development, disorders, and intervention strategies across age groups
- Proficiency in using teletherapy platforms, digital assessment tools, and online documentation systems
- Ability to manage a caseload independently while collaborating effectively in a virtual team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills to meet compliance deadlines and service requirements
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse student populations and tailor services to meet individual needs
Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual speech and language assessments using standardized tools
- Interpret evaluation results to determine eligibility for speech and language services
- Prepare detailed evaluation reports and communicate findings with parents and school teams
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Deliver engaging, evidence-based speech and language therapy sessions via Zoom
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to align therapy goals with classroom instruction
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide updates on student progress
- Maintain regular communication with families to support carryover of strategies at home
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services, assessments, and student progress
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and school-specific guidelines related to special education services
- Uphold student privacy in accordance with FERPA and HIPAA regulations
- Utilize digital tools and platforms effectively to enhance remote service delivery
- Stay current with best practices in teletherapy and speech-language pathology
- Participate in virtual trainings and professional learning communities
Preferred Qualifications
Experience delivering speech-language services in an educational setting; prior experience with virtual or teletherapy service delivery is strongly preferred
