Summary

Join Williamsburg Academy of Colorado (WAC), a remote educational service provider, as a Virtual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). Requirements

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited institution
  • Valid Colorado Speech-Language Pathologist license issued by the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) or eligibility to obtain one
  • Strong knowledge of speech and language development, disorders, and intervention strategies across age groups
  • Proficiency in using teletherapy platforms, digital assessment tools, and online documentation systems
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently while collaborating effectively in a virtual team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to meet compliance deadlines and service requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse student populations and tailor services to meet individual needs

Responsibilities

  • Conduct virtual speech and language assessments using standardized tools
  • Interpret evaluation results to determine eligibility for speech and language services
  • Prepare detailed evaluation reports and communicate findings with parents and school teams
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and treatment plans tailored to student needs
  • Deliver engaging, evidence-based speech and language therapy sessions via Zoom
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to align therapy goals with classroom instruction
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide updates on student progress
  • Maintain regular communication with families to support carryover of strategies at home
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services, assessments, and student progress
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and school-specific guidelines related to special education services
  • Uphold student privacy in accordance with FERPA and HIPAA regulations
  • Utilize digital tools and platforms effectively to enhance remote service delivery
  • Stay current with best practices in teletherapy and speech-language pathology
  • Participate in virtual trainings and professional learning communities

Preferred Qualifications

Experience delivering speech-language services in an educational setting; prior experience with virtual or teletherapy service delivery is strongly preferred
