Visual Quality Control Inspector / Drafting Engineer

Join Xometry, a company connecting manufacturers and buyers, as a Quality Control (VQC) Inspector / Drafting Engineer. This role involves performing virtual quality control inspections by reviewing documents and photos uploaded to the Xometry Partner Portal and ERP. You will work closely with various teams, including DFM Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Control, Case Management, and the Supply Chain, to ensure timely and efficient rework management. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in dimensionally inspecting manufactured products, 2 years of experience with General Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and 1 year of experience as a drafting engineer, preferably in mechanical engineering. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this dynamic environment.

Requirements

• Ability to clearly communicate - read, write, and speak English (В2-С1)
• Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years experience dimensionally inspecting manufactured products
• Experience in the role of drafting engineer from 1 years. Preferably in the field of mechanical engineering (hydraulic, compressor equipment)
• Minimum of 2 years working with General Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Able to read/interpret mechanical drawings, including assembly drawings
• Working knowledge and/or education, skills and experience associated with manufacturing processes
• Capable of interpreting and developing Dimensional Inspection Reports
• A self-starter, who works diligently to complete tasks in a timely manner
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to to work in a dynamic environment
• Minimum ability to working part of day in Eastern Time Zone (UTC - 4)

• Must have a strong attention to details
• Good communication skills

Responsibilities

• Perform virtual quality control inspections by reviewing all the required documents and photos uploaded into the Xometry Partner Portal and ERP
• Follow clearly written procedures as Partners are their external Customers
• Work closely with Case Management, Partner Support, and MRB effectively managing rework through internal and external resources to ensure quick turnaround time

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiar with Salesforce, High QA, SolidWorks, ASANA, and Google Suite
• Previous remote work experience a plus
• Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years working with General Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Minimum of 5 years experience dimensionally inspecting manufactured products
• Familiar with Salesforce, High QA, SolidWorks, ASANA, and Google Suite
• A self-starter, who works diligently to complete tasks in a timely manner
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to to work in a dynamic environment
