Summary

Join Borrowell as their VP of Engineering, leading the engineering function and providing vision to high-performing technical teams. You will serve on the executive team, collaborating cross-functionally. Champion new technologies, particularly AI-powered tools, and represent Borrowell in the tech community. Requirements

  • 10+ years of work experience, including experience as a senior engineering leader within an agile team
  • Experience with rapid growth and scale
  • Proven track record of building and leading inclusive and engaged engineering teams
  • Experience aligning teams across the business to deliver results, provide meaningful contributions, and prioritize needs over wants
  • Experience using and deploying new technologies, including generative AI tools
  • You strive for excellence in everything you do: customer satisfaction, process and product quality and reliability
  • You have strong communication and interpersonal skills, listen well and are able to discuss differences respectfully
  • You have strong quantitative instincts and make data-driven decisions
  • You’re excited by the possibilities of technology to find new ways of delivering financial services

Responsibilities

  • Lead the engineering function; establish & communicate delivery strategy to team; provide team with resources required to deliver
  • Serve as a member of the executive team, working cross-functionally across the company to balance multiple (and at times competing) priorities to achieve what’s best for the business and our users
  • Be a champion for new technologies across the company; in particular, look for opportunities for AI-powered tools to make team members and the company more effective and efficient
  • Represent Borrowell in the technology community (internally & externally) and foster a world-class tech culture
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, growth and development while scaling the engineering teams in accordance with the needs and goals of the business
  • Develop and coach a team of strong technical leaders with a balance of autonomy and accountability
