Remote VP of Engineering, Blockchain

Summary

The VP of Engineering, Blockchain will lead the development and implementation of blockchain technologies within Bjak's platform. This role requires a deep understanding of blockchain technology, extensive experience in software engineering, and a strong track record of leadership in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years focused on blockchain technology
• Proven track record of leading and managing engineering teams in a high-growth, innovative environment
• Strong understanding of blockchain protocols, smart contracts, cryptography, and distributed systems
• Experience with various blockchain platforms (e.g., Ethereum, Hyperledger, Corda) and development tools
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and creatively
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive blockchain strategy that aligns with the company’s business goals and technological advancements
• Oversee the architecture, design, and development of blockchain-based solutions
• Lead a team of blockchain engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture
• Ensure best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and continuous integration
• Ensure the security and integrity of blockchain applications, including smart contracts and distributed ledger technologies
• Collaborate with regulatory and compliance teams to ensure all blockchain solutions meet industry standards and regulations
• Stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in blockchain technology
• Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement within the company’s blockchain initiatives
• Work closely with other engineering teams, product managers, and stakeholders to integrate blockchain technology with existing systems and platforms
• Ensure seamless interoperability between blockchain components and other technological infrastructure
• Optimize blockchain solutions for performance and scalability to handle growing user demands
• Monitor system performance and implement improvements as needed
