VP/Head of AI

Summary

The job is for a Vice President of AI/Head of AI at Lingoda, a fast-growing online language school. The role involves driving the strategic direction and development of AI initiatives across the company, leading a team of AI experts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into the platform.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in AI/ML, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Experience in running a rapid lab/prototyping team on generating POC’s
• Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field
• In-depth knowledge of AI technologies, LLMs, building AI products/solutions, including machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and data analytics
• Proven track record: Demonstrated success in leading AI projects from concept to implementation, delivering measurable business outcomes
• Experienced team manager of managing teams up to 10 people
• Excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with many other functions and departments
• Very strong in balancing business requirements and technical process to deliver results and achieve success
• Fluent English skills (C-level)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the AI strategy, aligning it with the company’s overall business goals and product vision
• Lead the research, development, and implementation of AI solutions that enhance products, services, and business processes
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing AI team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning
• Oversee the lifecycle of AI projects, from conceptualization to deployment, ensuring they meet technical and business requirements
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, engineering, data science, and marketing, to integrate AI solutions effectively
• Communicate AI strategies, progress, and outcomes to executive leadership, board members, and other key stakeholders
• Ensure AI initiatives adhere to ethical standards and regulatory requirements, promoting responsible AI practices
• Stay abreast and ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation
