WCS Lead Engineer

Summary

The job is for a Lead Engineer at ShyftLabs focusing on IBM WCS Ecommerce Project in the Retail industry. Requirements

• Good communication and analytical skills
• Strong design and implementation experience in WebSphere Commerce v7.0, v8.0
• Should be able to create blueprint designs/architecture landscapes for complex ecommerce eco systems
• Strong understanding of WCS architecture and able to provide right design decisions
• Experience in integrating, designing and developing custom solutions within WCS
• Hands-on experience with utilizing various sub systems of WCS i.e., catalog, order, member, promotion etc
• Strong Java J2EE experience
• Database programming skills
• End-to-end experience in software development lifecycle and familiar with agile methodologies
• Hands On experience in SOLR, WCS SOA and REST framework
• Executed at least 2 WCS end-to-end implementation
• Technical leadership skills for managing a track of work and defining a comprehensive solution leading toward a common vision
• Ability to abstract detail into larger (repeatable) patterns, familiarity with user-centered analysis and evaluation techniques

Responsibilities

• Design, plan and implement IT solutions for WCS with Java J2EE environment
• Lead mid-level planning exercises with developers/engineers
• Anticipate issues and risks at the module level and escalate appropriately
• Project manage scope, time and quality throughout the project lifecycle
• Facilitate and drive workshops and client meetings to help translate business requirements into system requirements
