Summary

VetsEZ is seeking a full-time remote Web Designer to create and maintain visually appealing and user-friendly web interfaces for federal government projects. The candidate must reside within the continental US and have a strong portfolio showcasing their web design skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in web design
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or similar
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience with responsive design and accessibility
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating visually appealing designs

Responsibilities

• Design visually appealing and user-friendly web interfaces
• Collaborate with developers to implement and optimize designs
• Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes
• Ensure web designs are responsive and accessible
• Maintain and update existing websites
• Stay up-to-date with web design trends, tools, and technologies
• Provide input on user experience best practices
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on government projects is a plus
• Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG) is a plus
• Familiarity with content management systems such as WordPress or Drupal
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance if required
