Summary
Join our client's dynamic agency as an experienced WordPress Developer. This full-time, fully-remote position requires proficiency in both front-end and back-end development, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, and WordPress. You will develop, maintain, and enhance WordPress websites, ensuring they are secure, responsive, and meet design and functionality standards. The role involves creating custom themes and plugins, customizing pages, managing WordPress installations, implementing tracking scripts, and troubleshooting issues. Collaboration with design and project management teams is essential. Staying current with industry best practices is also expected.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a WordPress developer
- 2+ years of experience with PHP in the WordPress environment
- 2+ years of experience with WordPress database specifics
- Proficiency in WordPress Hooks, Shortcodes, Custom Post Types, and Custom Fields (ACF)
- Strong knowledge of front-end languages including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
- Experience with WordPress Page Builders (Beaver Builder, Elementor, Divi, Avada)
- Experience with plugins such as Gravity Forms, Yoast, WooCommerce, and Query Monitor
- Skills in making websites fully responsive
- Experience with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug
- Basic WordPress troubleshooting abilities
- Understanding of website architecture and aesthetics
- B2 or better English level
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Commitment to continuous professional development
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain WordPress websites
- Create custom WordPress themes and plugins
- Customize pages with CSS according to designs from Figma
- Ensure websites are fully responsive across all devices
- Manage WordPress installations, including plugins, updates, and backups
- Implement tracking scripts such as Google Tag Manager and GA4
- Debug and troubleshoot WordPress issues
- Collaborate with design and project management teams
- Stay current with industry best practices and technologies
