Requirements

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience as a Senior WordPress Developer with a proven track record of success building and shipping high-quality CMS applications
  • Possess a strong understanding of CMS theories, concepts, principles, and methods, with a focus on your chosen platform (e.g., WordPress, Drupal)
  • Demonstrate a proven ability to solve complex problems and develop innovative solutions utilizing a broad range of specialized CMS skills
  • Thrive in an independent work environment, taking ownership of projects and managing them from conception to completion
  • Possess excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams (designers, content creators, marketing) and clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Proficiency in using version control systems (e.g., Git) to track code changes, manage collaboration, and ensure code quality
  • Experience with development tools and methodologies such as unit testing frameworks, continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), and agile development principles
  • Understanding of content management best practices. Experience with SEO techniques and tools to optimize website performance. Knowledge of schema markup and structured data
  • Experience in optimizing website performance and loading speeds. Familiarity with caching mechanisms, CDN integration, and image optimization

Responsibilities

  • Craft Innovative Solutions: Leverage your in-depth understanding of WordPress and a broad range of specialized skills to tackle complex assignments and develop innovative solutions that enhance user experience, optimize performance, and meet evolving business needs
  • Independently plan, execute, and own WordPress development projects from conception to completion. This includes taking initiative, managing timelines, resolving most technical challenges that arise, and ensuring project deliverables meet quality standards
  • Demonstrate a mastery of various specialized WordPress development skills, including
  • WordPress Platform Expertise: Deep understanding of a specific WordPress platform including core functionalities, customization options, and security best practices
  • Front-End Development: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript to build and maintain user interfaces and ensure device responsiveness
  • Back-End Development: Experience with server-side scripting languages (e.g., PHP) and familiarity with databases to manage content and functionality
  • Integration & Automation: Ability to integrate WordPress with third-party applications and develop automated workflows to streamline processes
  • Content Management Expertise: Strong understanding of content management principles and best practices for creating, structuring, and optimizing content for digital platforms
  • Performance Optimization: Implement strategies to optimize website performance, including caching mechanisms, image optimization, and code efficiency
  • Security & Maintenance: Maintain the security and integrity of the CMS platform by implementing security best practices, performing regular backups, and applying security patches promptly
