Summary

Join Prison Fellowship®, a transformative organization with over 40 years of experience, as a Writer/Editor Intern! This remote internship offers a supportive environment and opportunities for growth. You will assist with writing, editing, research, and data management tasks, contributing to the organization's mission of supporting those affected by incarceration. The internship is flexible, lasting approximately 8 weeks with a 10-30 hour per week commitment. The pay rate is projected to be $16-18/hour. This role requires familiarity with various software and writing styles, and a commitment to the organization's Christian values.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with Word or a basic PM Software (Wrike preferred)
  • Ability to use Adobe Acrobat
  • Familiarity with AP Style Writing/Journalism
  • Proficiency with the Internet (Facebook/Google/Getty)

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an active relationship with Jesus Christ and support the ministry through prayer and actions
  • Assist with interviewing, researching, writing, copyediting and proofreading
  • Assist with creating story spreadsheets/archiving Airtable or similar PM apps
  • Assist with consolidating and cleaning correctional facility data/updating distribution lists
  • Perform other duties as requested

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to use Excel, Smartsheet and Airtable
