Summary
Join our AAA Art team and become a Stylized Prop Artist, breathing life into game environments through iconic and expressive assets. Design and model stylized 3D props using tools like Maya/Blender, ZBrush, and Substance Painter. Requirements
- 1–5+ years of experience in game development, preferably on stylized titles
- A portfolio showcasing stylized props with strong form, silhouette, and personality
- Proficiency in 3D modeling and sculpting tools such as Maya, Blender, ZBrush , and Substance Painter or hand-painted texturing tools like Photoshop or 3DCoat
- Understanding of form and function in a stylized context—how objects are exaggerated, simplified, and adapted for visual clarity and storytelling
- Solid grasp of color theory, material stylization, and world-building through prop design
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
- For senior candidates: at least one shipped stylized title or equivalent project experience
Responsibilities
- Design and model stylized 3D props that feel alive—ranging from everyday items to fantastical constructs—using tools like Maya/Blender, ZBrush, and Substance Painter
- Create chunky, exaggerated shapes with clear silhouettes and visual appeal , tailored for cartoon-like or fantasy worlds
- Develop hand-painted or stylized textures with bold color choices and simplified surface detail to reinforce the visual identity of the game
- Ensure all assets are optimized for performance and meet technical requirements for integration into the game engine
- Collaborate closely with environment artists, level designers, and concept artists to maintain cohesive visual language across props and environments
- Respond to feedback from Leads and Art Directors and iterate quickly while maintaining high artistic quality
- Stay up to date on trends and techniques in stylized 3D art and contribute to evolving our internal workflows
