You will work directly with senior members of the Accreditation Team and leading education organizations to manage accreditation compliance paperwork. This role requires designing and filing regulatory paperwork, ensuring quality assurance in filing long forms, managing complex projects, assisting in instructional design, and managing stakeholders across cultural barriers. The ideal candidate possesses a PhD, experience in law, or 5+ years in academic administration, along with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. This is a contract opportunity offering flexible PTO and working hours, and a work-from-home setup.

Requirements

  • Graduate-level education
  • Either a PhD, experience in law, or 5+ years in academic administration
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be meticulous, systematic, goal focused, and able to work with complex regulatory frameworks
  • Be patient but persistent in the face of bureaucratic inertia
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to distill complex information and communicate it effectively
  • Strong, solution-oriented problem-solving skills
  • Readiness to work in a start-up environment β€” be a self-starter, able to take initiative in breaking ambiguous projects into concrete, time-bound steps

Responsibilities

  • Design and file regulatory paperwork related to the ongoing compliance requirements for accreditation
  • Get up to speed on the specialized QA requirements for filing long forms and paperwork, and understand the wide-ranging, systematic impact of small details
  • Manage large and complex projects with multiple workstreams and ensure that they are completed with minimal support
  • Be self-activating: rather than waiting for an email reply, pick up the phone and call
  • Collaboratively help both senior and junior academics reduce complexity in their new academic courses and degree designs, with a keen understanding of how degree design will impact students and the future usability of the program
  • Interact across cultural barriers with academic leaders, government officials, and others β€” all while remaining polite, patient, and cheerful despite challenges. Persist and remain goal-focused, even when others might be exasperated

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in the accreditation function, with emphasis on US higher education
  • Current experience with achieving compliance with accreditation standards
  • Previous experience or demonstrated passion for higher education/edtech
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to new circumstances
  • Passion for Woolf’s mission, vision, and embodiment of our core values
  • Experience working remotely
  • Background in law
