Summary
Join Bitso's Accounting team as an Accountant Specialist and contribute to the monthly closing of different entities. You will review P&L and BS items, handle bank and AP/AR reconciliations, review monthly taxes, and support the audit process. This role requires a degree in Accounting, at least 5 years of relevant experience, and expertise in financial technology or Big 4 firms. Proficiency in NetSuite, another ERP system, and Brazilian taxes is essential. Excellent communication and advanced Excel skills are also needed. Requirements
- Degree in Accounting
- At least 5 years of experience in accounting
- Experience in financial technological companies or a Big4
- Experience with NetSuite and another ERP system
- English language proficiency
- Solid knowledge of Brazil's taxes and regulatory reports
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy are a must
- Ability to work effectively in teams and with cross-functional partners
- Agile sense of work
- Organized and proactive, takes initiative and prioritizes tasks
- Reliable, trustworthy, has a high level of integrity, and has a strong service orientation
Responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements and notes
- Knowledge of the COSIF chart of accounts to adjust accounts as needed
- Prepare and report CADOCs to the Central Bank (4111, 4010, 4016, 4060, 4066, 3040, 9010, and 9011)
- Prepare and participate in discussions related to the calculation of regulatory capital
- Respond to and analyze official communications from the Central Bank (BACEN)
- Act as a technical reference for accounting and regulatory matters, supporting business areas and internal/external audits
- Participate in projects to improve, standardize, and automate accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements processes
- Collaborate with technology teams to ensure the correct integration of data between the systems used (Matera and Netsuite)
- Monitor changes in accounting, tax, and regulatory legislation, assess their impact, and lead necessary implementations
Preferred Qualifications
- Competency in SQL and Macros
- Creative thinking and out-of-the-box solutions for complicated processes
