Summary

The Accounting Intern will assist the Controller and other members of the finance team in financial processing tasks at KCE, while also supporting day-to-day office responsibilities. The position requires a high school diploma and a degree in Business (preferred), knowledge of financial software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, and SharePoint, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Knowledge of financial software QuickBooks, NetSuite and SharePoint
  • High degree of attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a sense of urgency and ability to prioritize multiple, high-stakes projects
  • Strong knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work in a small team

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing, coding and processing vendor invoices
  • Maintaining account ledgers by verifying and posting transactions
  • Reconciling monthly vendor account statements and related transactions
  • Facilitating payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies
  • Assist with Sales tax reimbursement process
  • Perform and monitor clerical functions and various ad hoc projects
  • Assist with audit support as necessary
  • Assist with ad-hoc requests as pertains to Finance and Office management, including but not limited to clerical tasks to support the office manager

Preferred Qualifications

Pursuing a degree in Business
