Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk

Summary

Grapevine MSP Technology Services is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Clerk to process financial transactions, maintain accurate financial records, and support the accounting department. This position requires proficiency in accounting software, strong attention to detail, and basic understanding of accounting principles.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent and an associate’s degree in accounting or a related field are preferred
• 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Hands-on experience with office machines (e.g., fax machines and printers)
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A creative mind with the ability to suggest improvements

Responsibilities

• Process Financial Transactions: Accurately process accounts payable and receivable transactions, prepare and process invoices, expense reports, and check requests
• Maintain Financial Records: Ensure all financial records are maintained in an organized and up-to-date manner, assist with month-end closing activities, update and maintain accounting databases and spreadsheets
• Reconciliation and Reporting: Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts, assist in preparing financial reports, support internal audits by providing necessary documentation and information
• Assist with General Accounting Tasks: Support managing the general ledger, assist with payroll processing and related tasks, collaborate with the accounting team on various projects and initiatives

Preferred: A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
