Actuarial Associate

Summary

Requirements

• 1.5 years of experience in an actuarial role
• Undergraduate degree, preference for mathematics, actuarial sciences, statistics, or other quantitative fields
• Associateship/Fellowship of the SOA, CAS, or IFoA and passed a minimum of four actuarial exams

Responsibilities

• Pricing analyses, sensitivities and analytics
• GAAP, Statutory, hedging and embedded value modelling
• US cash flow testing
• Bermuda economic balance sheet
• Valuation and financial reporting
• Support of inforce management initiatives
• Review and analysis of reinsurance settlements
• Development and analysis of liability key performance indicators
• Quality Assurance (first line independent testing and validation of models)
• Capital management

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong technical skills (Excel skills required)
• Knowledge of SQL, familiarity with programming in R or Python
• Exposure to business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, etc
• Exposure to actuarial software such as GGY/Moody’s AXIS
