Summary
Join Imagine Pediatrics, a tech-enabled medical group, as a Pediatric PA or NP providing virtual urgent care services. You will deliver virtual care, respond to urgent care needs, and triage decisions to dispatch a mobile team for in-home visits. This role involves collaboration with clinical and non-clinical team members to foster trusting relationships with families and communities. You will work a remote, shift-based schedule with up to 10% travel. Active TX or FL licensure is required, with an additional license in DC, NY, or LA preferred. Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as Pediatric PA or NP in a high-volume emergency medicine or urgent care setting strongly preferred
- Board Certified Physician Assistant National Certification Exam or Nurse Practitioner
- Experience managing medically complex pediatrics required
- Active Texas or FL licensure required, and an additional license in DC, NY, or LA is preferred
- Active DEA Controlled Substance Registration or eligible for application
- Maintenance of professional credentialing and CME standards
- You have a stable and reliable internet connection, along with a private place to work
Responsibilities
- Provide virtual urgent care services to Imagine Pediatrics members and their caregivers
- Respond to inbound urgent care needs from members and their care teams
- Triage decisions to dispatch our mobile field team of allied health personnel to initiate blended virtual and in-home urgent care visits
- Work in a radically different model of healthcare
- Expect collaboration, shared decision making, and partnership across clinical and non-clinical care team members
- Foster trusting relationships with individuals, their families and caregivers, and communities, providing integrated primary, behavioral, and urgent care for kids
- Go above and beyond to connect with people in a non-judgmental, respectful and empathic manner, to meet their needs, and to provide feedback to the system as a whole as we strive to do better every day
- Work with an Acute Care Pediatrician during Mobile Integrated Care visits
- Virtually meet with patients, obtain an appropriate history, assist allied health personnel in a focused physical exam, order appropriate testing and treatment, and provide appropriate follow-up with requesting and primary providers
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner strongly preferred, and Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner - Acute Care is a plus
- Bilingual Spanish strongly preferred
- Virtual care experience a plus
