Advocacy Intern

Summary

Join Prison Fellowship®, a transformative organization with over 40 years of experience, as an Advocacy Summer Intern. This remote internship focuses on researching and analyzing criminal justice policy issues. You will work alongside our advocacy team, supporting policy campaigns and developing crucial skills in research, writing, and coalition building. The internship offers valuable experience in criminal justice and advocacy, providing an in-depth look at both fields. The internship is approximately eight weeks long, with flexible start and end dates, and offers a competitive hourly rate.

Requirements

• Completed at least 3 years at an accredited undergraduate college/university with a CGPA 3.0 or higher
• Strong writing and research ability
• Strong critical thinking and analytical abilities
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word and Excel

Responsibilities

• Maintain an active relationship with Jesus Christ and support the ministry through prayer and actions
• Research and analyze criminal justice policy issues, relevant state and federal legislative developments, caselaw, and academic scholarship
• Assist the policy and grassroot teams with timely requests for data entry

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of legislative process and/or issue advocacy
• Understanding of Bluebook citation method
