Requirements
- You’ve got 3 years of experience specifically in automation engineering or AI-focused software development
- You have prior experience specifically with NLP, generative AI, and AI-driven automation solutions
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
- You have strong proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or similar programming languages
- You have strong familiarity with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch
- You have a solid understanding of cloud-based AI services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- You’re tuned into the latest news and releases of AI tools. You’re skilled at discerning hype from reality. You think about how something new could be useful
- You have the ability to shadow a current process, ask smart questions of the team members involved, understand the desired result, and then come up with ways to use technology to improve that process. You have strong judgment in considering tradeoffs, making recommendations, and developing solutions
- You’ve got excellent problem-solving skills with an analytical approach
- You’ve got strong interpersonal and communication skills with experience working collaboratively in remote environments
- You’re able to work independently and collaborate with others when needed to iteratively solve problems in real-time
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement AI-driven automation tools that streamline operations and workflows across every team
- Integrate AI systems into existing processes to automate repetitive tasks such as data entry, analytics, candidate onboarding, candidate support, and team coordination
- Stay on the leading edge with the latest developments in automation technologies, machine learning, and AI, recommending and integrating advancements into GoodParty.org's engineering team and operations. It would be your job to be plugged in and share the cutting edge with the team
- Build out AI and LLM use cases and utilize best practices in AI into our product to help candidates get elected, as well as opportunistic projects to spread our message and movement
- Create robust automated data pipelines and processing systems that facilitate real-time analytics and reporting
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including Product and Engineering, Operations, Research, Politics, and Growth to identify and prioritize and implement automation opportunities
- Regularly assess the effectiveness of implemented AI automation solutions, proactively refining and optimizing for efficiency and latest capabilities
- Maintain detailed technical documentation and provide training and support to ensure team members fully utilize automation solutions
- Report to the CTO. Partner closely with the Director of Business Operations
Preferred Qualifications
- Background or strong interest in civic technology or nonprofit operations
- Experience in agile methodologies within remote teams
