Summary

Join Lemonade's Data Science - Telematics team as a full-stack data scientist and lead innovations in using telematics for better and more affordable insurance. You will process raw data to create telematics features, build and deploy predictive models integrating telematics data, and develop robust data pipelines. Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and the insurance team. This role requires 1-3+ years of experience or a Master's degree in a related field, fluency in Python, knowledge of databases, and experience with high-scale projects. Lemonade offers a competitive salary range of $121,000-135,000 + equity + benefits. The company is unable to sponsor work visas and cannot consider applicants from certain states.

Requirements

• 1-3+ years of practical data science or software engineering, or Master of Science (MSc) or higher in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
• Fluent in Python for software development, as well as model building
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases
• Experience working on high-scale, production-grade projects
• Ability to work EST/EDT business hours

Responsibilities

• Process raw data to generate groundbreaking telematics features for various applications
• Build and deploy predictive models that integrate telematics data into our business processes
• Develop and maintain robust pipelines, ensuring seamless telematics data flow to our predictive models
• Collaborate with a brilliant cross-functional team; engineers who support the core data pipelines, product managers who brainstorm new use cases for telematics models every day, the Insurance team who takes pricing models from concept to reality, and of course, the rest of the AI team
