Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a [Public Trust] clearance
- Bachelor's or Masterβs degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field
- 3β7 years of experience applying AI/ML techniques to real-world problems, ideally in a federal or public sector environment
- Demonstrated expertise in Tableau and Power BI dashboard design and publishing
- Strong proficiency in Python, R, and SQL for data analysis, modeling, and transformation
- Experience working with large-scale federal datasets (e.g., CMS, VA, DoD, DHS, HHS)
- Familiarity with government reporting standards, data governance, and data security policies
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and operationalize AI/ML models to support agency mission objectives, risk assessments, performance improvements, and fraud detection
- Translate federal program data into meaningful insights through interactive dashboards using Tableau and Power BI
- Partner with federal business owners, data stewards, and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver advanced analytics solutions
- Leverage Python, R, and SQL to clean, transform, and analyze structured and unstructured data
- Support the development of automated data pipelines and data visual storytelling aligned with agency KPIs and strategic plans
- Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior government executives
- Ensure compliance with Federal Data Strategy, privacy, Section 508, and security policies (e.g., FISMA, FedRAMP)
- Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, backlog grooming, and demos
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud-based analytics platforms (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government)
- Familiarity with MLOps or deploying models within secure, compliant environments
- Certifications in Tableau, Power BI, or cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with Agile methodologies and DevSecOps practices in government projects
- Working knowledge of Section 508 compliance and data accessibility standards
