Summary

Join the Democratic National Committee’s Tech team as an Analytics Engineering Lead to help Democrats win elections and empower progressives across the country. This is a fully remote position that requires 5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or management. The salary is $120,000 annually.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a data engineer, engineering-focused analyst, database administrator, or engineering manager
  • 5+ years using SQL, Python, and other scripting languages professionally

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of Analytics Engineers to oversee, build, and maintain the data products and infrastructure that supports Democratic campaigns up and down the ballot
  • Partner with Product Managers on short- and long-term engineering priorities in support of the tech team / product roadmap
  • Design and oversee structures for effective data transformations between databases and multiple data sources and tools
  • Assist and advise the team in data acquisition, processing and delivery to end-users
  • Serve as the technical and department point of contact between internal DNC teams by coordinating on priorities, timelines, and deliverables
  • Build systems to ensure database reliability, security, and performance. Help analysts and other users optimize pipelines and code

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing a technical team
  • Experience deploying data pipelines
  • Professional familiarity with analytical methods and predictive analysis, and experience working directly with data scientists and analysts
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities, communicate goals, and build consensus to work effectively within and across departments
  • A track record of prioritizing projects with the ability to be both self-directed and to delegate tasks to others
  • Experience using dbt
  • GCP experience (in particular, BigQuery, Google Cloud Storage)
  • Experience administering pipeline orchestration tools, such as Airflow
  • Experience volunteering or working on a political campaign data team
