Summary

First Help Financial (FHF), a fast-growing US company offering flexible financing options and tri-lingual support to first-time buyers, is hiring an Application Developer for their Engineering team. The Application Developer will collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver software solutions, lead UI/UX development, implement testing processes, provide on-call support, and mentor interns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 1+ year of applicable work experience and/or relevant internship experience
  • Experience with Java or Python
  • Exposure to OOD/OOP, data structures, and algorithm analysis

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver robust software solutions that drive the growth and efficiency of the company's portfolio
  • Gain deep expertise in the company's application ecosystem, including the Loan Origination platform, to architect, configure, and implement scalable solutions aligned with business requirements and industry best practices
  • Lead the development and enhancement of interactive user interfaces (UI) and user experiences (UX) on critical application platforms, partnering closely with Product Owners to ensure a seamless and intuitive end-user experience
  • Implement and maintain automated testing processes and frameworks to ensure software quality and reliability throughout the development lifecycle
  • Participate in rotational on-call support activities during weekends and holidays, providing timely response and resolution to critical system issues and emergencies
  • Collaborate with the engineering team on rotational deployment activities, ensuring smooth and efficient deployment of software releases and updates across production environments
  • Take ownership of assigned projects, demonstrating increased accountability and autonomy in project planning, execution, and delivery
  • Independently troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, leveraging strong problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of application architecture and technologies
