Application Engineering Specialist

Summary

Join Geometric Solutions as an Applications Engineer and contribute to our team's success! This hybrid position offers flexibility between commuting to our Troy, MI office and remote work for non-local candidates. As an Applications Engineer, you will provide technical sales support, create demos, develop training sessions, construct proposals, manage customer relationships, and more.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent work experience
• Knowledge of Siemens products such as NX, Teamcenter, Tecnomatix: Process Designer, Process Simulate, Plant Simulation, and VSA
• Understanding and/or experience in the Design and Manufacturing process
• Experience in project management and customer support
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Basic understanding of CAD/CAM
• Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

• Report to the Managing Director of Geometric Solutions
• Provide technical sales support, both pre-sales and post-sales
• Create and present demos to customers, tailored to various functions
• Develop and deliver technical training sessions
• Construct proposals and estimate applicable hours for projects
• Manage customer relationships by writing reports and communicating results, issues, and recommendations

Preferred Qualifications

• Problem-solving experience in a manufacturing plant setting
• Understanding of Discrete Event Simulation
• Understanding of Robotic Systems and Automation
