Join a company that cares. Wellhub is hiring a Senior Software Engineer Specialist to join their Tagus | BASE Team in Portugal, where you will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve services focusing on performance, scalability, and resilience.
Requirements
- You are an experienced backend engineer skilled in architecting large-scale multi-tier web applications with high availability and scalability
- You are skilled in one or more programming languages, such as Go, Java, Kotlin, Scala, Python, etc., with an in-depth knowledge of Golang being a valuable plus
- You have extensive experience in designing and developing complex modern web applications
- You have prior work experience with cloud-based architectures, specifically AWS and GCP
- You have experience in developing RESTful web services, working closely with front-end teams to create mocks, define payloads, and follow HTTP best practices
- You have experience applying computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis
- You have an extensive background in working with SQL/NoSQL technologies, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and DynamoDB, and possess a deep understanding of their everyday use cases and performance pitfalls
- You have exceptional communication skills that enable you to work effectively with diverse teams located across different countries
- You advanced English skills and can clearly articulate ideas when speaking to groups in English
- You have a bachelorβs degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve services focusing on performance, scalability, and resilience
- Build Integration among services and tools
- Support existing systems looking to enhance functionality, increase scale, and transform in new ways to meet our product demands
