Join Heat XC as an Applications/Mechanical Design Engineer and contribute to the design and integration of innovative thermal systems. The position is remote with requisite quarterly travel to California and offers a competitive salary range of $140,000-$170,000 per year. Requirements
- Must be a United States citizen
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance
- Bachelorβs degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering, with a focus on thermal systems and fluid dynamics
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components and systems with an understanding of thermal systems and fluid dynamics
- Work with multidisciplined teams to ensure functional designs that meet performance, cost, and manufacturability requirements
- Collaborate with the Engineering team to implement new technology into existing commercial products
- Prototype, test, and validate designs to ensure they meet quality and performance standards
- Create and maintain detailed design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and test plans
- Provide technical support to the engineering team
- Conduct simulations and analysis to optimize thermal performance and fluid flow
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with thermal and fluid flow simulation software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter ability to work independently
- Excellent communicator
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
