Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience leading an Applied ML team in industry
• Track record of successfully delivering high performance ML-driven products
• Deep knowledge of machine learning fundamentals and applied deep learning

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of junior and senior scientists to research and deliver innovative models in production
• Provide technical leadership for a team of highly capable applied AI scientists, fostering a culture of creativity, technical depth and excellence
• Initiate, plan and drive projects that will bring the next generation of identity verification to the real world that can withstand the most aggressive and determined fraud attacks
• Communicate technical vision and roadmap at multiple levels within the organisation and externally
• Be an external ambassador for Onfido providing thought leadership across the industry in area of expertise
• Contribute to the scientific discoveries of the team through hands-on work and collaborations
• Work hand-in-hand with multiple levels of stakeholders (Product, Engineering, Analytics, MLOps/DataOps, customer support)
• Publish research results in national and international conferences and scientific journals. Represent Onfido at national and international scientific conferences
• Contribute to filing patents
