Summary

SAOTA is seeking First Year Out architects to join their teams for extensive training and diverse project experience. The role involves design and development tasks, liaising with external consultants, and staying updated on trends. Essential skills include MArch/MTech in Architecture or equivalent, working knowledge of REVIT, high-level thinking, accuracy, confidentiality handling, self-motivation, proactiveness, creative problem-solving, ability to work additional hours, and a positive attitude towards personal growth.

Requirements

• MArch / MTech in Architecture or equivalent
• Working knowledge of REVIT
• Able to understand and formulate design decisions and present for discussion
• Able to use a variety of media and software in the development and documentation of a design project
• Display high level thinking in architecture and design
• Able to accurately understand and interpret instructions
• Sound understanding of the production process, including applications of different file formats
• The ability to learn and demonstrate creative problem-solving skills
• Able to set and achieve deadlines and give regular updates on progress
• Methodical, accurate and consistent attention to detail
• Able to manage sensitive and sometimes confidential information
• Able to remain calm and work in pressurised environments
• Self-motivated and able to take responsibility

Responsibilities

• Develop and be responsible for certain aspects of the project design and development
• Liaison with External Consultants, Contractor/Site, Architects of Record as well as with the Client
• Stay updated on latest architecture and design trends and technology
• Contribute, or otherwise assist as required, to provide project teams with a full Architectural service covering both presentation and contractual material
• Interpret and understand the design brief
• Produce all documentation relating to the design
• Assist in producing all documentation relating to the design including Drawings, 3D Models, Images & all other documentation relating to the design and according to the project brief
• Proactively seek feedback from seniors and act on technical advice given
