Art Director

Requirements

• Multiple years of experience as a lead digital designer
• Mastery of the Adobe suite, Figma and/or Sketch
• Demonstrated experience solving complex problems through elegant design
• An extraordinary portfolio
• The capacity to work on multiple projects concurrently
• Understanding of UX best practices and how to achieve them without sacrificing the goals of the client or the integrity of the design
• A storytelling-first approach
• Experience designing and communicating about website animations and interactivity, from micro interactions to full page scroll hooks
• A keen eye for detail
• A deep familiarity with contexts, screens, and device capabilities

Responsibilities

• Lead an end-to-end design process
• Contribute visual ideas as research
• Express strategic ideas through design
• Communicate the rationale behind your work
• Make it beautiful, and (most important) deliver what users need
• Establish a brand vision that is informed by research, connected to business outcomes, and driven by you
• Present to clients with support from the team
• Conduct research
• Participate in user interviews, and gather inputs throughout the process
• Design new solutions as goals dictate
• Plan interfaces and prepare wireframes and information architecture
• Explore complex problems with an open mind
• Feel comfortable with ambiguity
• Generate multiple solutions and make strategic design decisions in partnership with a team
• Sweat the details
• Impeccable execution and deep care given to all aspects of design, large and small: strategy, messaging, brand, colors, typography, icons — everything

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience prototyping in After Effects, Principle, Figma etc
• Experience building out Lottie animations
• Webflow build experience
• Motion graphics/motion design experience
• Know an uncanny number of Figma quick keys
