Summary

edX, a subsidiary of 2U Inc., is seeking a remote, part-time Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence instructor to lead online lectures, build community, translate complex subject matter, provide support to students, and create an engaging learning environment for a diverse range of learners. The instructor must have at least 5 years of industry experience, a Bachelor’s degree, teaching/tutoring/mentorship experience, and proficiency in specific technologies. Preferred requirements include sharing professional experiences and industry insights, being able to infuse empathy, support, encouragement, and fun into the student experience, and delivering office hour session guides.

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience
• Bachelor’s degree
• Teaching/tutoring/mentorship experience
• Proficiency in Python, Machine Learning (Unsupervised and Supervised Learning), Natural Language Processing, Deep Learning and Neural Networks, Linear Regression, Transformers, and AI applications

Responsibilities

• Lead online lectures following a detailed lesson plan that includes an active discussion environment and project-based learning
• Bring the learning experience to life by building community and enhancing relevance by drawing on your own industry experience
• Translate complex subject matter in a clear and concise manner for a diverse range of learners or skill levels
• Provide support and encouragement to students as they go through a life-changing experience
• Create an engaging, positive, and inclusive learning environment for our students
• Increase participant engagement using different facilitation tactics
• Guide large groups of learners in an empathetic manner
• Amplify student satisfaction by creating a positive office hour culture

Preferred Qualifications
