Summary

Join World Business Lenders (WBL) as an Asset Resolution Team Lead (ARTL) and manage a portfolio of distressed commercial loans while mentoring junior analysts. This remote contract/consultancy position requires strong leadership, financial analysis, and legal knowledge. You will develop and implement collection and recovery strategies, manage litigation, and collaborate with legal counsel. The role demands excellent communication and organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe applications, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Working hours are 9:00 am to 6:00 pm Eastern Time, Monday through Friday. PTO is available, and the position offers a USD salary.

Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree (or equivalent from U.S. college/university preferred)
  • Excellent English fluency, both written and verbal
  • Strong organizational, communication (both written and verbal) and leadership skills
  • Working knowledge of U.S. federal and state collection/foreclosure/bankruptcy laws and related legal process
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, financial analysis and negotiation skills
  • Able to allocate time to effectively manage personal and team membersโ€™ casework and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Detail-oriented and resourceful with excellent follow-through skills
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office and Adobe applications
  • Able to establish and maintain effective work relationships both internally and externally

Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor a non-performing real estate collateralized commercial loan portfolio
  • Develop, train and supervise a team of Asset Resolution Analysts
  • Develop, prepare, update and revise applicable policies and procedures
  • Conduct proactive and effective pipeline management and financial analysis in accordance with established standards
  • Develop, implement and monitor appropriate collection, loss mitigation and recovery strategies
  • Monitor and manage commercial litigation/bankruptcy/foreclosure activities, functions and deadlines, including preparing bidding instructions, drafting settlement agreements and reviewing pleadings
  • Direct/monitor/liaise with in-house and outside attorneys, collection agencies and other vendors that support the asset resolution effort
  • Interact with customers and their counsel to facilitate negotiation and conflict resolution
  • Maintain timely and accurate case management records
  • Prepare and deliver to management: case (i)summaries, (ii) performance, (iii) status, (iv) outcomes, (v) budgets and (vi) financial reports and forecasts
  • Collaborate with colleagues in connection with financial reporting, valuations and legal strategies
  • Other projects and duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Paralegal Certificate (or equivalent preferred)
  • Working knowledge of real property recording systems and real property chain of title matters throughout the U.S. preferred
