Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in civil litigation in a law firm environment
  • Be skilled in conducting legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, propounding and responding to discovery, as well as interfacing directly with clients and opposing counsel
  • Possess exceptional communication and advocacy skills along with a client-focused mindset and a passion for achieving successful outcomes
  • Have the desire and/or ability to manage a caseload independently, while also working collaboratively with team members
  • Possess a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Have admission to the State Bar of California

Responsibilities

  • Handle a variety of litigation matters involving wrongful death, premises liability, personal injury, construction, breach of contract/business disputes, and more
  • Handle every aspect of your cases including legal strategy, research, drafting pleadings and motions, managing discovery, arguing motions in court, attending mediations, and trial
  • Work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals, businesses, and organizations
  • Collaborate closely with team members and have the opportunity to be mentored by experienced partners

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have experience taking and defending depositions, arguing motions and attending mediations
  • Have trial experience
