Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in a Data Engineer or similar role, or relevant internships and projects
  • Solid proficiency in SQL (e.g., Snowflake, Google BigQuery) and Python
  • Good understanding of dbt and its core concepts
  • Familiarity with basic data warehousing concepts and tools
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Ability to learn quickly and work effectively both independently and within a team

Responsibilities

  • Data Modeling: Contribute to the design and implementation of well-structured data models using dbt, focusing on data accuracy and consistency across different data sources
  • Data Pipelines: Assist in developing and maintaining efficient data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into our data warehouse
  • Dbt Development: Utilize dbt to develop reusable and maintainable data transformations, write tests, and contribute to documentation under guidance
  • Data Quality: Help implement data quality checks and monitoring processes to ensure the reliability of our data
  • Collaboration: Work closely with data analysts and more senior team members to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions
  • Optimization: Learn and contribute to the optimization of data pipelines and models for better performance and scalability
  • Documentation: Assist in creating clear and understandable documentation for data pipelines, models, and processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a bonus
  • Basic understanding of data governance concepts
