Summary

Join Springboard Collaborative as the Associate Director of Grants, a remote position based in the U.S. You will be responsible for creating high-quality grant proposals, reports, and other donor-facing communications. Success requires exceptional written communication, project management, and attention to detail. This role supports the organization's mission of closing the literacy gap by securing funding. You will report to the Director of Donor Communications and collaborate with the Partnerships team. Springboard offers a competitive compensation package and comprehensive benefits.

Requirements

  • Effectively communicate in writing, tailoring messages to the interests and priorities of different audiences. Your writing is clear, concise, strategic, and persuasive
  • Ensure a positive and seamless experience for the front-line fundraisers who are your internal customers. You listen and respond to their needs, delivering high-quality, tailored materials on predetermined timelines with minimal edits needed
  • Structure and direct the work of various internal stakeholders to ensure that complex, time-sensitive grant-writing projects are completed successfully and with ease. You ensure deadlines are met and keep stakeholders informed of project status
  • Diligently attend to details and pursue quality in all external written materials. Your writing is accurate and typo-free
  • Understand how our work improves the lives of marginalized students and use that understanding to support the success of Springboard’s fundraising efforts, specifically within written external materials
  • 3- 5 years of grant writing experience in the non-profit field
  • Experience writing proposals that have secured grants of $50K+

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, on-time reports and proposals
  • Ensure that all externally-shared language is accurate, up-to-date, and compelling
  • Execute timely and efficient grant processes
  • Promptly update and maintain a database of approved final language
  • Create best-in-class written content
  • Draft, revise, and submit high-quality grant proposals, reports, concept notes, LOIs, and mass emails
  • Collaborate across teams to gather, conceptualize, and contextualize impact data, financial information, and other relevant content to tell a compelling story
  • Implement communications systems and processes
  • Maintain processes to support the delivery of grant writing services to internal clients, i.e. kick-off meetings, shared projects, regular progress updates, etc
  • Maintain the Philanthropy team’s centralized language repository to ensure access to up-to-date, best-in-class grant writing language
  • Maintain the team’s annual communications calendar and related processes
  • Execute donor communications strategy
  • Contribute to regularly updating Springboard's case for support to reinforce organization-wide fundraising strategies and tactics and help front-line fundraisers achieve annual revenue goals
  • Tailor external messaging to different donor audiences by region, interest area, donor type, etc
  • Uphold quality standards for writing
  • Meet grant writing and reporting deadlines
  • Proactively communicate to internal stakeholders on the progress of work
  • Submit requests for information in a timely fashion

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in education, edtech, or literacy
  • Experience using Asana or similar project management tools
