Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited institution or equivalent compliance-specific certification
  • 8+ years of experience in managing compliance in a fast-paced, global environment, with expertise in payroll regulations across APAC
  • Strong ability to translate regulatory requirements into clear workflows and scalable solutions
  • Experience in managing and mentoring compliance teams and working collaboratively with cross-functional departments
  • Strong knowledge of payroll compliance regulations in at least 6 countries or more, with the ability to manage compliance efforts across an entire region
  • Excellent project management skills, including familiarity with Scrum/Agile methodologies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on working effectively across departments and regions

Responsibilities

  • Lead research to develop compliant payroll engines for APAC
  • Collaborate with the development team to design and optimize workflows that align with local regulatory requirements
  • Ensure legislative changes are incorporated into engine configurations promptly and accurately
  • Develop resources and frameworks to support compliance decision-making at every stage of the product lifecycle
  • Drive end-to-end project execution for payroll system enhancements and new implementations
  • Lead and manage a team of compliance professionals, overseeing payroll compliance activities across APAC
  • Provide expert guidance on legislative compliance matters, including audits and regulatory inquiries, ensuring adherence to international standards
  • Act as the primary liaison between compliance, engineering and product teams
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with external auditors and regulatory bodies, representing the organization in compliance-related matters
