Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison between the company and the medical information call center vendor, ensuring alignment with company standards and objectives
- Oversee the implementation and management of call center operations, including training programs, quality assurance, and performance metrics
- Monitor vendor performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs), ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and high-quality service delivery
- Conduct regular meetings and touchpoints with the vendor to address performance, provide updates, and implement process improvements as needed
- Conduct comprehensive literature searches to gather and analyze scientific data pertinent to the company's products and therapeutic areas
- Interpret and synthesize scientific literature to provide insights for internal stakeholders, including assessments of competitor publications and identification of research gaps
- Create and maintain accurate, fair-balanced standard response letters (SRLs) and custom responses to unsolicited external medical information requests
- Proactively update and facilitate the review of medical information content, including standard response letters, custom responses, and FAQs, ensuring timely dissemination of current information
- Develop and execute medical information strategies to support therapeutic and business objectives, with a focus on new product launches
- Ensure the creation and maintenance of standard response documents and FAQs to address anticipated inquiries related to new products
- Analyze inquiry data to identify trends and insights, providing strategic input on emerging medical and scientific issues
- Maintain an advanced level of therapeutic knowledge relevant to the company's product portfolio
- Ensure all medical information activities comply with industry best practices and applicable regulatory guidelines
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for medical information processes
- Lead quality assurance programs for medical information activities, including regular audits and assessments of call center interactions
- Represent the medical information function during regulatory inspections and audits as needed
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Legal, and Commercial, to ensure the dissemination of accurate and timely medical information
- Provide medical information support for internal stakeholders, including training and educational materials related to new product launches

- Strong proficiency using scientific search engines (PubMed, Google Scholar)
- Ability to travel for conferences, training sessions, and meetings
- Advanced scientific degree (PharmD, Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent)
- 7+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, with a focus on medical information and call center management
- Previous experience in endocrinology therapeutic area
- Demonstrated experience in overseeing medical information call center operations, including vendor management
- Experience with new product launches and the associated medical information requirements
