Summary
Join Eidos Therapeutics, a BridgeBio Pharma affiliate, as an Associate Director, Sr. Medical Science Liaison. This field-based role requires communicating with internal and external stakeholders, providing medical and scientific information, and advancing therapeutic disease state knowledge. You will be a core member of the Medical Affairs Team, working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, focusing on product launch planning and rare disorders. Responsibilities include developing and executing a territory medical plan, attending conferences, delivering presentations, and building relationships with key stakeholders. Extensive travel is required. The position reports to the Regional Field MSL Sr. Director. Requirements
- Candidates with a PharmD, Ph.D., MD, Genetic Counseling, as well as other advanced healthcare degrees or relevant experience, will be considered
- 3+ years of medical affairs or field medical experience with a verifiable record of high performance is preferred, or at least 2 years of other relevant clinical or healthcare experience will be considered
- Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills (including networking)
- Able to participate in a scientific dialogue with KOLs and researchers
- Excellent teaching skills and ability to present and discuss scientific material clearly and concisely
- Proven ability to create and sustain relationships with industry and academic thought leaders
- Skilled in clinical research and an understanding of the process of pharmaceutical product development and approval
- Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and work effectively with minimal supervision in a constantly changing environment
- Travel 50-60% of the time, depending on territory size; evening and weekend work will be involved, with some variation based upon the demands of the business imperatives
Responsibilities
- Develop relationships with various healthcare professionals, researchers, clinical care sites, advocacy leaders, and other key stakeholders
- Maintain therapeutic and product area expertise through regular review of relevant literature and participation in medical or scientific congresses
- Serve as a subject matter expert and credible source of balanced medical and scientific information for internal and external stakeholders
- Compliantly educate and engage in scientific exchange, medical presentations, disease state trainings, and respond to HCP requests for medical information
- Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to build and execute a comprehensive, action-oriented medical territory plan that aligns with the overall medical affairs strategy
- Contribute to medical affairs strategic decision-making by proactively gathering, analyzing, and recording KOL insights on safety, competitive landscape, clinical decision making, data gaps, or other unmet therapeutic area needs
- Assist in the identification of potential investigators and research projects, including investigator-sponsored trial process, sponsored study site recruitment strategies, and collaboration with clinical operations
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in rare diseases, cardiology, or neurology is preferred
