Associate Distinguished Engineer, Enterprise Architect

Summary

Join our dynamic and global Digital Product Engineering company as an Enterprise Architect! This role requires 12+ years of experience and strong Japanese language skills. You will develop customer-facing applications, integrate with legacy systems, and design highly scalable hybrid and native applications. You will lead and mentor a team of engineers, setting best practices for development, deployment, and testing. The ideal candidate possesses expertise in mobile app development, cloud migration, and various architectural patterns.

Requirements

• Have Application Development skills
• Be proficient in Japanese
• Possess 12+ years of experience as an Enterprise Architect with mobile experience
• Have proven knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android
• Possess expertise in hybrid mobile app development using Ionic Framework, Angular 5+ or React JS, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, ES6, jQuery
• Have experience in integration using external third-party libraries and APIs, payment gateways, Google Maps / Live location Tracking / GPS related APIs / ESRI Android SDK
• Possess solid knowledge of RESTful APIs
• Have knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token or OAuth
• Have excellent understanding of the mobile/web development life cycle

Responsibilities

• Develop a customer facing application and its integration with DMS and other legacy systems
• Design & build highly scalable Hybrid and native applications
• Play a critical role in the design, planning, development, and deployment and help develop best practices for future development
• Architect, design, and develop scalable, resilient applications
• Provide technical leadership, setting best practices including integration, application development, deployment, testing (unit and systems) and management of the technical department
• Innovate and develop new approaches to complex design problems and lead design efforts and provide technical leadership to developers
• Lead and mentor a group of engineers
• Optimize the performance of the apps and keep up to date with the latest industry trends in mobile technologies
• Work on code review, perform bug fixes and improve application performance
• Demonstrate familiarity with Agile development including daily scrum and weekly iteration reviews and planning
• Utilize experience with automation testing and unit testing frameworks
• Implement application security including Information security principles

Preferred Qualifications

• Have 14+ years of experience as an Enterprise Architect
• Have experience in Cloud Migration
• Have experience with driven design (DDD)
• Have experience with oriented architecture (SOA)
• Have experience with Microservices architecture (MSA)
• Have experience with GCP
• Have experience with Cloud architecture
• Possess strong Technical leadership skills
• Have experience with Web API, Microservices, REST, Cloud, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular/React/Vue.js/Ember.js
