Requirements

  • Actively pursuing a 4-year degree in engineering or a similar field of study
  • Solid understanding of basic mechanical and electrical systems
  • Experience designing mechanical systems and CAD systems like Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks
  • Familiarity with programming languages and software used in controls engineering, such as ladder logic, structured text, C/C++, Java, Python, AutoCAD, etc
  • Experienced in project management
  • Ability to self-manage and prioritize while keeping a pulse on business needs
  • Willing to work hard, stay until the job is complete, and demonstrate resilience
  • Have a positive attitude, willing to work with multiple levels of employees, and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Support equipment loss analysis, reapplication activities, product and process upgrades, improvements and initiatives
  • Improve manufacturing systems for equipment including, but not limited to: Centerlines, Clean-Inspect-Lubricate, Defect Elimination, Workplace Organization, etc
  • Participate in the troubleshooting and resolution of day to day issues, ensuring minimal disruption to production and operational processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, logistics, accounting, supply chain, automation engineering, IT, and others to gather requirements and implement solutions that meet business needs
  • Actively engage in knowledge sharing and collaborate with other engineering teams in plant and at the corporate offices to enhance overall team performance
  • Follow, create and contribute to standard documentation templates relating to operating procedures, event documentation, specifications, etc
  • Develop systems to ensure equipment is operating in a safe manner and within quality and food safety parameters
