As Director O&M Contracts, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day relationships with O&M Service providers, driving and managing O&M and other subcontracts, and ensuring alignment of priorities among all parties.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with an MS or MBA is preferred
- Advanced degree or additional certifications such as PMP, CFA, CPA preferred
- Minimum 10 years of experience working in industrial environments
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in utility scale solar operations required
- 3+ years of supervisory experience required
- Intimate knowledge of the energy and renewable energy market, and the ability to stay current with changing technologies, regulations, and industry trends
- Commercial mindset, strong prioritization, communication, and organizational skills
- Technical knowledge of general plant and system processes, electrical and SCADA systems
- Technical knowledge in analyzing equipment performance and identifying performance issues using software tools
- Experience with PV maintenance, including DC systems, AC MV systems, network communications and monitoring
- Strong analytical and diagnostic capabilities
- Excellent learning skills with aptitude to independently research, understand, and implement knowledge in new areas
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire people to take action through their influence
- Sound knowledge of industrial safety and experience in field quality is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other applications for productivity
- Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and standard practices preferred
- Ability to read and understand electrical single-line and three-line diagrams and schematics preferred
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day relationships and function as the primary SBE contact for communications with O&M Service providers
- Drive and manage O&M and other subcontracts in O&M Operations
- Lead and Manage O&M Service Providers to contract requirements as per plan & objectives
- Commercial relations of SBE OM with all external parties (Service Providers, OEM, EPC, other)
- Engage with Procurement for all OM related contract initiation, negotiation, closure and HOTO of contracts
- Monthly/Quarterly key contract management activities
- Management of OM related PR/PO/TO/invoices and coordination with AM for tracking of Opex
- Coordination with Field Operations and Digital Operations to ensure expected service levels from all external parties are being met
- Management of Spare parts and other assets of SBE OM – Procurement, Inventory, Audits, Reports
- Warranty management with Service Provider and directly with OEM/EPC as required
- Assisting Head of OM on development of SBE OM business and operations model
- Set priorities and provide oversight to work conducted by O&M providers’ technicians, when needed
- Ensure plants are operating as per plan and meeting safety and quality requirements
- Provide feedback to O&M partner based on performance, safety and quality data and reports as per specific metrics
- In coordination with O&M Service Provider, pursue and resolve open warranty issues with OEMs and EPCs
- Manage all site related non-covered services, including vegetation management
- Manage SBE internal CMMS system for tracking of high priority issues associated with equipment maintenance and repairs
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual operational reports across SBE portfolio
- Lead HOTO from SBE O&M and interface with SBE Projects, EPC and O&M provider across all turnover deliverables and closing of punch lists
